Scope and Contents
This small collection contains correspondence and five pieces of manuscript sheet music of American composer and screenwriter Harry Ruby (1895-1974). The letters are typically brief, friendly letters from public figures in the entertainment industry often including words of encouragement or thanks to Ruby. Most correspondents are represented by one letter, though there multiple letters from some individuals including Irving Berlin, Eddie Cantor, and Bennett Cerf.

Harry Ruby (1985-1947) was an American composer and screenwriter, known for his Broadway scores, popular songs, and film work. He was married to actress Eileen Percy.
