This collection contains drafts of Steps in Time, the autobiography of American actor and dancer Fred Astaire (1899-1987), first published in 1959. Materials reflect the work at various stages and include handwritten and typed drafts, notes, proofs, and galleys. Some of the manuscript draft folder labels are based on the notes on the original folder labels such as: "Finished/Put Aside," "No value," and "Not useful at moment."
