This collection includes interview transcripts for the Trials and Transformations book project on the history of the Keck School of Medicine. The transcripts for interviewees are as follows: Steve Abrahamson, Gail Anderson, Sol Bernstein, G. Dennem Hammond, Peter Jones, Alexandra Levine, Morris Lipson, Loren Lipson, Phil Manning, Helen Martin, Allen Mathies, Esther Somerfeld, Robert Tranquada, and Paul Viviano. An Acknowledgement draft by Gordon Cohn is also present.

Biographical / Historical

Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California: Trials and Transformations was written by Sarah Lifton and published in 2004 as a part of the USC 125th Anniversary Project. The book covers the school’s founding in 1885 with a specific focus on the 1980s through early 2000s through the memories and perspectives of interviewees.
