This typed manuscript was found in the same folder (Box 3, Folder 7) as a draft of an english translation of chapter one of Hai Shang Hua [see the record titled "Hai Shang Hua (The Sing-Song Girls of Shanghai): Full version"]. After the Xiang Jian Huan material was identified as part of a separate work, the USC Libraries separated this material into a new folder.
