This collection contains drafts of two manuscripts by Spanish writer Ramón Sender, both dated October 1969. The manuscripts have handwritten corrections and are in Spanish, with English translations of brief author’s notes only.

The first manuscript is a typescript first draft of the novel En la vida de Ignacio Morel (In the Life of Ignacio Morel). The second manuscript is a collection of poetry, Poesía y Memorias Bisiestas. Sender identifies the first part of Poesía y Memorias Bisiestas as having been previously published as Las Imágenes Migratorias: Poesía (Ediciones Atenea), and many of the pages are printed leaves pasted onto sheets with handwritten edits. Sender created these drafts while a visiting professor at the University of Southern California and in his note dedicates Poesía y Memorias Bisiestas "to the University where I work."
