Scope and Content

The series contains materials related to the tactical planning measures developed by the LAPD to manage unusual occurrences, emergencies, and instances of civil disorder. Included are manuals, training materials, and standing plans developed prior to the riots; activities logs and reports maintained during the riots; and after-action reports and analyses which evaluate the effectiveness of these planning measures in the months following the riots.
