Clippings, 1940-1943
Scope and Content
This series includes 13 albums into which newspaper clippings and other items have been pasted. The highly acidic environment of the albums has made them exceptionally fragile. Clippings mostly concern the social activities related to fundraising or other public support programs. The 1967 album was originally used as a sign-in register for local, regional, and national meetings in 1964-1965; clippings were then pasted over these registers. From 1966 on, the clippings have been collected by Allen's P. C. B., a news clippings service. Many non-newspaper items have been extracted from these albums for preservation with other series.
