Scope and Content
This series includes materials relating to the organization and development of the Los Angeles Florence Crittenton Home. Included are financial reports, board meeting records, correspondence, and activity reports. Of special interest are the early materials relating to the financial and organizational transformation of the home at the beginning of the twentieth century, the foundation narrative of J. W. Ellsworth, and the management audit performed in 1950-1951. The series also includes two scrapbooks that have been dismantled in the interest of preservation, one detailing a tea party held at the Home in 1971 and the other being a farewell memorial to Mrs. Nielsen.
