Scope and Content

From the Series:

The two boxes in this series are comprised of typed and handwritten notes for sermons by Hunter. They are arranged alphabetically by title of sermon (when specified); the remaining folders of sermon notes are grouped as "miscellaneous." Many of the original sermon folders were of a very brittle acidic paper where the title parts had previously crumbled off of the sides. This situation, coupled with Hunter's almost illegible handwriting, made it difficult to discern what the titles would be if the notes could be read more clearly. Many of the crumbling brittle folders were also kept, however, because many of the notes were written on them. The series also contains a folder of published sermons by Hunter, in the form of small pamphlets and booklets. Another group of folders contains sermons and articles by persons other than Hunter. Audiotapes of the sermons can be found in the Audiovisual Materials series.
